Camcorder HDC-SD9 for Best Camcorder in Europe 2008
The HDC-SD9 is a world's smallest and lightest*1 full HD recording model taking advantage of SDHC/SD memory card recording system. Long-time recording, for up to 6 hours*2 onto a 16-GB SDHC memory card*3 is possible. It also features sufficient impact resistance to prevent malfunction thanks to the card recording system that requires no drive mechanism.

TIPA official comment is as below. "With this 3 CCD, full HD camera Panasonic has succeeded in bringing a very compact model into the market. On top of the excellent image quality, this camcorder also has advanced features like face detection and the unique Intelligence Shooting guide. In spite of its diminutive size, the camera sports a total of five microphones for a truly stunning sound performance. The Panasonic HDC-SD9 has a full HD resolution of 1920x1080, and the Leica Dicomar lens and the advanced O.I.S. ensure very sharp and vibrant images. Other features are its ability to operate in minimum lighting of just 5 lux, superb picture quality at the 16:9 aspect ratio, a 10x optical zoom lens and a 2.7 inch LCD screen. This camera stores images and video on SD card. It has a weight of only 275 grams."
